  • Mr John Davies, MB. BS MRCS. LRCP FRCS (Ed) FRCS
    Mr Davies was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon at The Royal Surrey County Hospital (RSCH) in 1993. He is an internationally renowned leader in the use of MRI guided biopsy and cryosurgery systems in the management of prostate and kidney cancers. Mr Davies has an international referral base in prostate cancer treatment with cryosurgical techniques, and coordinates an active research programme at the RSCH. He also collaborated with the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins Hospital and M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre (Houston). Since 2000, he has co-ordinated an active research programme in cryo-surgical treatment for prostate cancer and introduced HIFU for prostate cancer. Mr Davies is also the co-founder of The Prostate Project Charity.

  • Professor Ian S Fentiman, MD, FRCS
    Ian Fentiman is Professor of Surgical Oncology and Consultant Surgeon. He has recently retired from the Guy’s & St Thomas Hospitals and currently practicing at The Harley Street Breast Clinic in London. He has been working in the field of breast cancer since 1975. One of his principle interests has been to extend the use of breast conservation treatment to older women. He has also conducted trials on management of DCIS. He is a member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Cancer. As one of the 100 investigators published most in the 20th century, he was honoured by Cancer Care for advancing treatment of early breast cancer.

  • Professor Martin M Brown, BChir, MD, MA, FRCP
    Professor Brown was appointed to the Foundation Chair of Stroke Medicine at Institute of Neurology, University College London (UCH) in 1999. He is also Consultant Neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN). He has been closely involved in setting up the HASU at UCH and an Acute Brain Injury Unit for Stroke and Head Injury at NHNN, and a One-Stop Neurovascular Clinic at the National Hospital. He is a past President of the British Association of Stroke Physicians. Prof Brown’s publications include some 180 articles and chapters and he is the main author of textbook called “ Stroke Medicine” published 2006.

  • Professor Anwar R Padhani, MB, BS, FRCP, FRCR
    Professor Padhani is a Consultant Radiologist and Head of Imaging at the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre, Mount Vernon Hospital. After studying general medicine at University of Cambridge, he undertook 5 years of radiological training (Addenbrooke’s and Guys Hospitals; and John Hopkins Hospital (USA). He is the Chairman of the Molecular Imaging Committee of the BIR, a member of the Molecular and Contrast media Committee of the ECR. He is a member of the Study Advisory Group steering MRI Screening in women at High Genetic Risk of breast cancer (MARIBS) and of the Clinical Trials Research Committee of Cancer Research UK.

  • Dr William Teh, MBCh, MBBS, FRCR
    Dr Teh was appointed Consultant Radiologist at Northwick Park Hospital in 1998. He is the Lead Cancer Clinician at North West London Hospitals NHS Trusts, and the Director of Screening for the North London Breast Screening Service. He is an acknowledged expert in breast MRI and MRI guided vacuum biopsies of the breast. Dr Teh is the Chair of the North West London Cancer Network Breast Specific Group and also the London Cancer Alliance Breast Pathway Group within South and West London. He also holds the position Director of Radiology at a private diagnostic centre in Harley Street.
